JEJU, SOUTH KOREA, September 26, 2025– APT Jeju 2025 officially got underway with Day 1 of the festival, and it was the Single Day High Roller that set the tone for the action-packed 10 days ahead. This first marquee side event of the series drew a strong 50-entry field, as pros and ambitious amateurs alike clashed for a shot at prestige and prize money.
China’s Zhang Yankai, a seasoned pro with over USD 600,000 in live earnings, had been chasing an APT title awhile. Despite numerous deep runs and three runner-up finishes at prior APT stops, an APT trophy had remained elusive. In Jeju, Zhang finally broke through, securing his long-awaited first APT championship and KRW 40,830,000 (~USD 29,164).
Runner-up honours went to Chen Ronghui, who returned to the APT stage with the highest finish of his career. Chen’s effort brought him his largest lifetime score, a payout of KRW 29,480,000 (~USD 21,057).
The podium was completed by Luo YiHeng, a Chinese amateur who also enjoyed a career-best result by claiming third place for KRW 18,790,000 (~USD 13,421).

Dong Earns First APT Title in Event #3: PL Omaha Hi-Lo – 5 Card (Big O)
Dong kicks of his series with his first APT title
China’s Li Dong secured his maiden APT title in Event #3: PL Omaha Hi-Lo – 5 Card (Big O), topping a 34-entry field in the first mixed game event of the series.. With over USD 300,000 in live earnings, Li added another highlight to his poker career by capturing the trophy and KRW 7,255,571 (~USD 5,183).
Japan’s Moriki Koyo made a strong run to second place for KRW 5,010,000 (~USD 3,578), while Li Zehao of China rounded out the podium with a third-place finish worth KRW 3,190,000 (~USD 2,278).

Li Claims First APT Title in Event #5: Turbo – PL Omaha High
Li rides his momentum to claim his first APT title
China’s Li Xuancheng made his breakthrough on the APT stage by capturing his first title in Event #5: Turbo – PL Omaha High. Coming off a string of strong results on other tours, Li carried that momentum into Jeju, topping a 46-entry field to secure the trophy and a payout of KRW 6,410,736 (~USD 4,579).
The all-Chinese podium was completed by Liu Yao, who earned KRW 4,430,000 (~USD 3,164) for second place, and Yuan Bin, who took home KRW 2,830,000 (~USD 2,021) in third.

Yuki Wins Event #6: Turbo – High Roller
Yuki took down her first APT title
With just two entrants taking part in Event #6: Turbo – High Roller, the tournament became a direct heads-up battle for the trophy. Japan’s Ikeda Yuki, an amateur player who recorded a cash at APT Incheon a couple of months ago, emerged victorious to claim her largest score to date.
For her win, Ikeda pocketed KRW 2,592,000 (~USD 1,851) and added her first APT title to his record.

Ho Secures First APT Title in Event #7: Hyper Turbo
Ho kicks off his Jeju series with his first APT title
Taiwan’s Ho Poseidon finally etched his name into the APT record books, clinching his first career APT title in Event #7: Hyper Turbo. A seasoned professional with over USD 1.8 million in live earnings, Ho outlasted a 39-entry field in the fast-paced event to lift the trophy and claim KRW 5,910,624 (~USD 4,222). This is also Ho’s first ever first-place finish in a live event.
The runner-up spot went to China’s Li Yanzhi, who pocketed KRW 4,080,000 (~USD 2,914), while Japan’s Daisuke Koizumi secured the final podium place with a third-place finish worth KRW 2,600,000 (~USD 1,857).

Chen Captures Second APT Title in Event #8: Hyper Turbo – NL – Single Draw Mix
Chen can count two APT trophies in mixed game events
APT regular Andy Chen added another trophy to his collection by taking down Event #8: Hyper Turbo – NL – Single Draw Mix. The Canadian topped a 16-entry field in the mixed format to secure his second APT title, both of which have come in mixed game events. For his victory, Chen collected KRW 2,460,410 (~USD 1,757).
Japan’s Aoki Daiki battled hard heads-up but ultimately fell short, finishing runner-up for KRW 1,640,000 (~USD 1,171). Fellow countryman Nakamura Katsunori rounded out the podium, earning KRW 1,020,000 (~USD 729) for third place.

Zhu Captures First APT Title in Event #9: Super Hyper Turbo
Zhu ships his first APT title
China’s Zhu FangZhou made his breakthrough in Event #9: Super Hyper Turbo, claiming his first APT title. The Chinese professional, who is nearing USD 200,000 in live earnings, topped a strong 67-entry field in the super hyper turbo format to secure the trophy and a payout of KRW 5,481,501 (~USD 3,915).
Lu Xudong finished as runner-up, collecting KRW 3,940,000 (~USD 2,814), while fellow Chinese player Li Yong rounded out the podium with KRW 2,560,000 (~USD 1,829) for third place.
