INCHEON, SOUTH KOREA, August 11, 2026– Four days of fierce competition have already produced a long list of memorable moments at APT Incheon 2026, but there is still plenty of poker left to be played at Paradise City. Day 5 brings a fresh slate of tournaments and another chance for familiar faces and newcomers alike to write their names into the festival's growing list of champions, as the series edges towards its halfway mark.

Lee Breaks Runner-Up Curse With Victory in Event #48: Baby Superstar Challenge

Lee jubilant with his first APT trophy

Malaysian pro Wai Kiat Lee finally broke through for his maiden APT title after conquering the KRW 10 million Event #48: Baby Superstar Challenge, topping the 33-entry high roller field to earn KRW 109,004,000 (~USD 77,308).

With over USD 26 million in live tournament earnings and sitting second on Malaysia's All-Time Money List, Lee arrived with an impressive list of poker achievements but without an APT trophy to his name. The Malaysian had come agonisingly close on several previous Tours, recording a string of final table finishes, but finally broke the curse in Incheon to capture his first piece of APT silverware.

Russia's Dmitrill Kravchenko finished runner-up for a sizeable KRW 75,130,000 (~USD 53,284). A relatively new face on the live tournament scene, Kravchenko's deep run delivered the first major cash of his poker career.

Chinese pro Bin Duan was also hunting for his maiden APT title, but ultimately had to settle for third place and KRW 47,880,000 (~USD 33,957). The result added another sizeable score to the résumé of Duan, who boasts over USD 1.6 million in live tournament earnings.

The final table also featured some notable faces, with Natural8 ambassadors Nevan Chang finishing fourth for KRW 34,620,000 (~USD 24,553) and Chih Wei Fan taking fifth for KRW 27,990,000 (~USD 19,851).

Ikeda Scores Breakthrough Victory in Event #46: NL - Hold'em - Sponsored by JOPT

Ikeda makes his first big score on the Tour with this victory

Japan's Fumitaka Ikeda recorded the first major victory of his poker career after taking down Event #46: NL - Hold'em - Sponsored by JOPT, an event sponsored by the Japan Open Poker Tour (JOPT). Ikeda earned KRW 30,217,123 (~USD 21,430) and his maiden APT title for the victory.

The triumph represented a significant breakthrough for Ikeda, with the Japanese player almost doubling his previous best live tournament cash while getting his hands on his first piece of APT silverware.

The tournament came with added incentives, with Ikeda receiving a JPY 250,000 (~USD 1,584) NLH Crown ticket in addition to his first-place prize. The top 30 finishers, regardless of whether they reached the tournament payouts, also received an added JPY 40,000 (~USD 253) NLH Millions ticket. Players can choose to use their tickets at any JOPT Tokyo event taking place before August 16, 2027.

Ikeda and Canada's Toan Tran struck an ICM deal once play reached heads-up before Ikeda ultimately emerged with the title. Tran collected KRW 27,122,000 (~USD 19,235) for his runner-up finish, while Japan's Masatoshi Minowa rounded out the podium in third for KRW 16,270,000 (~USD 11,539).

Wortham Adds Third APT Title in Event #47: Fixed Limit Super Holdem - Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Wortham reaches three APT titles

American poker veteran David Wortham added another APT trophy to his collection after overcoming a 25-player field to take down Event #47: Fixed Limit Super Holdem - Hi-Lo 8 or Better, earning KRW 2,520,480 (~USD 1,788) for the victory.

Wortham had already come close to silverware earlier in the festival with a fourth-place finish in Event #24: Fixed Limit Omaha Ultimate Hi-Lo - Cry Me A River. This time, the poker veteran went all the way to secure the third APT title of his career.

Japan's Abe Yusuke finished runner-up for KRW 1,680,000 (~USD 1,191), adding another podium finish after placing third in Event #2: PL Omaha 5 Card - Hi-Lo (Big O) on Day 1. China's Qing Liu rounded out the podium in third for KRW 1,080,000 (~USD 766), having previously finished runner-up in Event #18: Hyper Turbo - No Limit - 7 Card Stud.

Mori Raises His Bar Again in Event #49: Masters Dealer's Choice

Mori is enjoying a stellar series with his second APT title

Japan's Tomoharu Mori broke his career-best live tournament score once again after overcoming a 44-entry field to take down Event #49: Masters Dealer's Choice, earning KRW 19,394,000 (~USD 13,755) for the victory.

Mori had already set a new career high with victory in his previous event win, but raised the bar once again in Incheon. The Japanese player went all the way in the 44-entry field to eclipse that previous benchmark and record another milestone score.

Hong Kong's Tsz Fung Wong finished runner-up for KRW 13,400,000 (~USD 9,504), while Malaysia's Kilian Markus Hyun Loeffler rounded out the podium in third for KRW 8,550,000 (~USD 6,064).

Sukmekerd Claims Maiden APT Title in Record-Breaking Event #50: Women's Main Event

Sukmekerd comes out on top with her first APT title

Thai poker veteran Siriwan Sukmekerd secured her maiden APT title after topping the 73-entry Event #50: Women's Main Event, earning KRW 14,122,934 (~USD 10,016) for the victory.

The tournament generated the largest prize pool for a ladies' event in APT Incheon history, with Sukmekerd emerging on top of the record-breaking contest. A veteran of the game with a long history of competing in the United States, Sukmekerd has more recently brought her talents to the Asian poker circuit and made her trip count by capturing her first piece of APT silverware.

China's Yue Sun came close to adding yet another chapter to her remarkable record in Incheon, but ultimately settled for second place and KRW 10,180,000 (~USD 7,220). Sun won three Women's Events at APT Incheon last year and had already captured two more titles at this year's festival in Events #14 and #38, leaving her just one victory short of emulating her three-title haul from 2025.

Japan's Mai Ito completed the top three, taking home KRW 6,620,000 (~USD 4,695) for third place.

Takuma Sets Career High in Record-Breaking Event #51: Single Day High Roller - Mystery Bounty

Takuma wins a huge score for his first APT title

Japan's Shinnosuke Takuma enjoyed a career-defining victory after taking down Event #51: Single Day High Roller - Mystery Bounty, earning KRW 55,254,000 (~USD 39,187) in prize money and a further KRW 28,000,000 (~USD 19,858) in bounties.

The event attracted 151 entries, setting new APT Incheon records for both field size and prize pool for the event. Takuma ultimately emerged on top of the record-breaking contest, securing his maiden APT title while also recording the biggest live tournament score of his career.

Hong Kong's Hon Cheong Lee came closest to denying Takuma the title, collecting KRW 37,000,000 (~USD 26,241) for second place along with KRW 28,000,000 (~USD 19,858) in bounties.

Australia's Dylan Wayne Foster finished third but proved to be the biggest bounty hunter among the top finishers. Foster earned KRW 24,000,000 (~USD 17,021) for his third-place finish and collected another KRW 36,000,000 (~USD 25,532) in bounties, giving him a combined haul of KRW 60,000,000 (~USD 42,553).

Heisler Returns to Incheon Glory in Event #52: NL - Hold'em – Bounty

Heisler makes a triumphant return with his second APT title

American Benjamin Whan Heisler returned to the APT winner's circle after topping the 205-entry Event #52: NL - Hold'em – Bounty, earning KRW 16,776,000 (~USD 11,898) for the victory.

The triumph marked the second APT title of Heisler's career, with Incheon proving to be a happy hunting ground for the American. His previous APT victory also came in the Korean city back in 2022, prior to the beginning of the APT New Era, making his latest success a long-awaited return to the top step four years later.

China's Woliang Ji came closest to denying Heisler the title, finishing runner-up for KRW 14,402,000 (~USD 10,214), while compatriot Dongwen Liu claimed third place and KRW 11,910,000 (~USD 8,447).

Choi Adds Fifth APT Title in Event #53: Turbo - NL Hi-Lo Dealer Button's Choice

Choi lifts his fifth APT trophy

Hong Kong pro Kevin Choi added another APT trophy to his collection after overcoming a 49-entry field to take down Event #53: Turbo - NL Hi-Lo Dealer Button's Choice, earning KRW 4,951,254 (~USD 3,511) for the victory.

Choi, who boasts over USD 1.2 million in live tournament earnings, secured the fifth APT title of his career with the win. The victory also saw him improve on his third-place finish in Event #35: Masters Big "O" - PL Omaha Hi-Lo - 5 Card earlier in the festival, where he had fallen just short of adding to his title tally.

Japan's Mina Mizunokura finished runner-up for KRW 3,570,000 (~USD 2,532), while China's Xinze Li took third place and KRW 2,270,000 (~USD 1,610).

Wang Lands Maiden APT Title and Career-Best Score in Event #54: Turbo – NLH

Wang brings home his first APT trophy

Chinese amateur Wang Chenwei recorded the biggest live tournament score of his career after taking down Event #54: Turbo – NLH, earning KRW 10,435,072 (~USD 7,401) along with his maiden APT title.

Once the tournament reached the final three players, Wang, fellow Chinese player Yifei Chen, and Japan's Kazushi Higashiura agreed to an ICM deal that redistributed the remaining prize money. Chen secured the largest share of the deal with KRW 14,434,000 (~USD 10,237), while Higashiura locked up KRW 12,434,000 (~USD 8,818).

Play continued for the title and trophy, with Wang ultimately emerging victorious to secure his first piece of APT silverware and a new career-best live tournament score. Chen officially finished runner-up, while Higashiura took third place.

Liu Lands Second APT Title in Event #55: Hyper Turbo - No Limit - 7 Card Super Stud

Liu victorious with his second APT title

China's Qing Liu added a second APT title to his collection after taking down the 32-entry Event #55: Hyper Turbo - No Limit - 7 Card Super Stud, earning KRW 3,800,819 (~USD 2,696) for the victory.

Liu had already come close to adding to his trophy cabinet earlier in the festival, finishing runner-up in Event #18: Hyper Turbo - No Limit - 7 Card Stud before taking third in Event #47: Fixed Limit Super Holdem - Hi-Lo 8 or Better. His latest deep run proved to be the charm, with Liu going all the way to secure his second career APT title.

Thailand's Sorawit Suriyakarn came closest to denying Liu the victory, taking home KRW 2,610,000 (~USD 1,851) for second place. Hong Kong's King Chun Horace Leung completed the top three, collecting KRW 1,660,000 (~USD 1,177).

Toyoshima books his first APT victory in Incheon

Japan's Akihisa Toyoshima captured his maiden APT title after overcoming a 105-entry field in Event #56: Super Hyper Turbo – NLH, earning KRW 7,522,352 (~USD 5,335) for the victory. Toyoshima made his run count , seeing off the triple-digit field to secure his first piece of APT silverware.

Fellow Japanese players Chiaki Honda and Juntaro Matsui joined Toyoshima in an all-Japanese top three. Honda came closest to denying Toyoshima the title, eventually settling for second and KRW 5,170,000 (~USD 3,667), while Matsui claimed third place for KRW 3,400,000 (~USD 2,411).
