Stairway to Seven

Stairway to Seven is a poker format based on Omaha.

Stairway to Seven begins with four cards being dealt to each play hole cards – just like in Omaha – but as the hand continues you will receive more. If you play through to the river, you will have seven hole cards and five community cards from which to make your best five-card hand.

Remember this! Because this is Omaha, you will still only be able to use exactly two cards from your hand and three from the board for your final hand!

The Rules of Stairway to Seven

Stairway to Seven may be played as a Limit, Pot Limit, or No Limit game.

At the start of each hand, players are dealt four hole cards.

Before the flop there is a round of betting.

When the flop is dealt, players still in the hand receive a fifth hole card.

When the turn is dealt, remaining players on the turn then receive a sixth card.

When the river is dealt, remaining players will be dealt the seventh and final hole card.

At showdown, players must use exactly two of their hole cards and three community cards to make the best five-card poker hand.
