Edoc Lester Tops Flight A of the Mystery Bounty Hunter

Chipleader Lester Edoc .jpg

Lester Edoc sits on top of the leaderboard with a stack of 556,000 chips in the Mystery Bounty Hunter - Sponsored by Natural8 - Flight A.

The 2-time APT Main Event Champion dominated the field of 124 entrants and has the stack to prove it.

In 2nd place sits Alok Pradip Birewar with 528,000 chips. Birewar was at the top of the leaderboard from the middle stages of this flight and used his stack to his advantage to finish just 3 big blinds behind Edoc.

Edoc and Birewar are well clear of 3rd place with India's Dhaval Mudgal bagging 276,000.

A total of 18 players made it through to day 2 from this tough field. Robert Alexander Duncan Birrs is the shortest stack with only 20,000 chips to his name. Can the Brit pull off a miracle and make a run to the final table?

These 18 players will join the 13 that qualified from flight B meaning 31 players will be fighting for all the mystery bounties and the coveted APT Mystery Bounty Hunter trophy.

The bubble has finally burst in flight A of the Mystery Bounty Hunter.

The unfortunate soul who bubbled was Juang Cheng-Ru who shoved A♦ J♣ and was called by the A♠ K♠ of Tran Minh Nhat Ngo.

Bubble Drama in the Mystery Bounty Hunter

PostedJust nowby Life of Poker

The bubble just refuses to pop in flight A of the Mystery Bounty Hunter.

Firstly, Juang Cheng-Ru shoves his pocket 3s and is called by Ritwik Khanna's KQo

The board ran clean for Cheng-Ru and 19 players still remain.

2 hands later David Longmate of the U.K. committed the last of his chips and was called me Dhaval Mudgal of India.

Longmate 6♥ 6♦ Mudhgal K♣ 5♣

Longmate's 6s held and we then went to another table where there was a third all-in. Could this be when the bubble finally pops?

Viktor Zhuchkov 3-bet shoved his last 60,000 chips over Farukh Tach's 20,000 open. Tach tanked for what seemed to be an eternity before finally making the call.

Zhuchkov K♣ K♥ Tach Q♠ Q♦

The flop came Q♣ 6♣ J♣ to propel Tach into the lead. Zhuchkov flopped a flush draw and needed a club or a King to remain alive.

The turn. K♦. Can you believe it?! The swarm of players surrounding the table let out a collective groan as they realize Tach now only had 1 out to burst this bubble.

The river...

A♣. Zhuchkov holds and on we go in hand-for-hand play.
