Asian Poker Tour Announces APT Taipei 2024 Schedule

MANILA, PHILIPPINES, January 22, 2024 – The Asian Poker Tour sponsored by Natural8 is pleased to announce the schedule for the upcoming APT Taipei 2024, running February 28 to March 10.

The festival boasts TWD 150 million (USD 4.8 million) in guaranteed prize money with the jewel in the series' crown—the TWD 70,000 APT Main Event—coming with a hefty TWD 65 million (~USD 2M) prize pool guarantee – the largest in the tour's 17-year history!

"CTP and the Asian Poker Arena has a special place in our hearts as this is where the New Era of the Asian Poker Tour launched last year to record-breaking numbers. We guaranteed TWD 50 million in our last poker festival in Taipei and that has now tripled to TWD 150 million!" said APT CEO Fred Leung.

Leung added, "APT is continually expanding its offerings to accommodate different bank rolls. Yes, we have added more high stakes offerings with buy-ins as high as 25K USD. But we have also included exciting events for the everyman as well. The APT National Cup is our official opening event and with a TWD 15 million guarantee, it already matches or surpasses most main events in the region -- but at just a fraction of the usual buy-in."

"Whether you are play nosebleed stakes or coming to your first poker event, APT Taipei will have something for you and is the very definition of a can't-miss event!"

Run in partnership with the Chinese Texas Hold'em Poker Club (CTP), the 12-day festival will run over two venues 1.7km apart; the CTP Asia Poker Arena – Asia's largest permanent poker room – and the CML (Chinese Mahjong League 華人麻將競技聯盟) both located in central Taipei.

SERIES HIGHLIGHTS

The festival kicks off with the four day TWD 15 million (~USD 480,000) guaranteed TWD 10,000 APT National Cup which gets underway midweek on Wednesday, February 28.

The action-packed opening weekend also boasts the TWD 15,000 Mystery Bounty – Sponsored by Natural8 running March 2-3, as well as the first of the festival's three signature events; the TWD 300,000 APT Super High Roller.

Catering to those with bigger bankrolls, APT Taipei 2024 will offer daily high roller events, including the TWD 800,000 Superstar Challenge (March 1-2), and the TWD 150,000 APT High Roller (Mar 9-10), which comes with a TWD 11 million (~USD 350,000) prize pool guarantee.

Of course, the highlight of the festival will be the TWD 70,000 (~USD 2,225) APT Main Event, which boasts the largest ever prize pool guarantee for the tour at TWD 65 million (~USD 2 million) and runs March 3-9.
