Event 32: Super High Rollers

The 2-day Super High Roller came to a close with Japanese Satoshi Kuriga at the top of the field, winning the coveted first-place prizes of ₫663,480,000 (~$28,108.00) cold cash and the Super High Roller lion trophy. This is no surprise; he started the final day as the chip leader with 159.9k in his stack.

Kuriga was the champion for two events: Head Hunter (Event 12) during the APT Phu Quoc in April 2022 and Single Day High Rollers (Event #6) during APT Vietnam Ho Chi Minh in August 2022. He also made the final table of a previous Super High Rollers (Event 6) during the APT Phu Quoc in April 2022.

Keita Minami was the event’s runner-up, winning ₫325,920,000 (~$13,807.00) for his valiant effort. Minami was the Deep Stack Turbo (Event #13) runner-up during this event. He won Monster Stack (Event 18) Asian Poker Tour - APT Phu Quoc in April 2022. He was also part of the Single Day High Rollers (Event #20) and Single Day High Rollers (Event #10) final tables during APT Vietnam Ho Chi Minh in August 2022.

Tu Thanh Le from Australia was the other money finalist, winning ₫174,500,000 (~$7,393.00) in 3rd place. He is no stranger to the APT stage, as evidenced by his previous winnings across several APT tournaments in the past.

Several players came close to the money but ran short. A few notables were Ngo Van Dat, who made the final table of the **High Rollers (Event #17) ** in APT Vietnam Ho Chi Minh last August 2022; Grant Gardner with four APT High Roller final table finishes; Alex Xiang Wei Lee who made two High Roller final tables in this series.

Satoshi Kuriga started and ended the day strong as the Japanese pro began the final day with the highest chip stack on the field. His last match with fellow Japanese Keita Minami was intense and ended with a decisive king on the river.

He won ₫663,480,000 (~$28,108.00) and the Super High Roller lion trophy.

Minami bet 20k and Hong tanked her action before calling.

Minami showed his A♠ A♥ and Hong said "you're so lucky. I got two pairs." before mucking her hand. Minami's aces made two pairs aces and sevens on the river, beating whatever two pair combination would have been formed (Q-4, K-Q, K-4) on the board during the turn.

Satoshi Kuriga has the highest chip stack at the start of Final Day.

He was the NLH Single Day High Rollers (Event#6) title holder at the APT Vietnam Ho Chi Minh back in August 2022. He also made it to the final table of the NLH Super High Rollers (Event#6) during the APT Phu Quoc back in April 2022.
