One last hour to sign up to the CHAMPIONSHIPS EVENT; 108 return for Day 2

Here we go! One more hour for all you railbirds to jump in the CHAMPIONSHIPS EVENT! This is the second highlight tournament of the APT Kickoff 2019 Vietnam taking place at partner and host venue Pro Poker Club.

Registration closes at the start of Level 10 which means you have one hour after the first deal of the day to pony up the VND 38,500,000 buy-in. At this time we don’t have an official prize pool posted since sign ups are still allowed but if you are behind in the news, the VND 6BN has been surpassed. The players are now looking at a pot of around VND 7.5 Billion, roughly around USD 325,000. We expect that to grow slightly by the end of late registration.

For late entry players, starting stack is 50,000. Blinds kick off at Level 9: 600-1200 ante 1200. Average stack is 102,627 with 11,083,800 total chips in play. Day 2 will play another 8 rounds. Cards in the air at 1pm.

Entering the floor as chip leader is USA’s Stephen Schumacher with 275,900. Second-in-command is Vietnam’s Dinh Xuan Dinh with 245,900. In third rank is Korea’s Soo Jo Kim. Kim is a decorated APT major title-holder. He is one of several champions headed back to the field today. The others are: Lim Yohwan, Linh Tran, Iori Yogo (triple APT title-holder), Huu Dung Nguyen, Abhinav Iyer (series Main Event winner), Tetsuya Tsuchikawa, Cao Ngoc Anh, and Huy Pham.

Day 2 chips counts and seat draw

We will also have Live Updates throughout the day once the freezeout stage begins so you can follow the action.
