Lots of poker action taking place today at the APT Korea Incheon Championships 2018 in Paradise City. First up is the Main Event which resumes with 36 players headed back to the felt. With the event paying out 32 places, four of them will exit empty-handed. Once the money is reached, the race continues for a seat to tomorrow’s Final 8.
The Main Event drew in 192 entrants to surpass the tour’s first visit last year by 7 entries. With each buyin at ₩1,100,000, players are looking at a hefty prize pool of ₩186,240,000. The eventual winner will ship in the largest share, a whopping ₩40,463,000.
Day 3 action gets underway at Level 17 with blinds at 2000-4000 ante 4000. Average stack is 133,000 with 4,788,000 total chips in play. Bubble protection is in effect.
Incredibly, two-thirds of the remaining players – 24 to be exact – all hail from Japan. Setting the bar high last night was Shinji Sugeta bagging up a huge 377,000 in chips. He is our chip leader entering Day 3. Earning second position, though quite a distance from the leader, is Tomoharu Furuya with 299,500. And back at the top once again is Manami Hayamizu in third rank with 231,500.
Cards in the air at 1pm. Good luck to all the players!
