APT Korea Incheon 2019 kicked off yesterday with the highly popular Monster Stack 1 event opener. This saw 79 pull up seats at Paradise City Casino however only 18 remained at the end of day 1. With the money starting at 14 places, four of today’s returnees walked away empty-handed, each one missing out on a piece of the KRW 38,315,000 prize pool.
On the other end of the totem pole was Taiwan’s Hung Sheng Lin. He shipped the coveted title and KRW 10,407,000 first place purse. Hung Sheng Lin has now taken the lead in the APT Player of the Series race.
The Monster Stack 1 is the first of two offered on the festival schedule. Buy-in was KRW 550,000. Bagging up the largest stack at the end of day 1 was Japan’s Tomoharu Furuya. He went on to reach the money in 13th place.
Pictured below were the final table players. Among them were APT major title-holders Tetsuya Tsuchikawa, Na Young Kim (first-ever female APT Main Event winner), and eventual champion Hung Sheng Lin. Another player in the round was APT Korea Seoul 2019 Player of the Series champion, Edward Yam Chun Ho.
