Keita Minami of Japan Tops Flight B

Keita Minami topped flight B in the Mystery Bounty Hunter - Sponsored by Natural8.

Minami bagged and tagged 435,000 from the second and faster-structured flight that took place today. Minami, representing Japan, never seemed to be in danger throughout the day and finished strong by eliminating Kyongrok Moon to burst the bubble and secure his place in day 2.

In 2nd is South Korea's very own Sungkyu Jeon who finished the day with a very respectable 323,000 in chips.

Behind Jeon in 3rd is Gavin William Best of Australia who bags 315,000.

Kyle William Joseph Jones comes in last place with 69,000 chips and I am sure the Canadian will want to change that and make a run at the final table.

Of the 90 entrants in flight B, just 13 made it through the field to secure at least a min-cash and a shot at the Mystery Bounty Hunter title. They will join 18 others who qualified from flight A tomorrow at 12.30 pm local time.

Bubble Bursts in Flight B of the Mystery Bounty Hunter

PostedJust nowby Life of Poker

The bubble has burst, without the drama from flight A, in the second flight of the Mystery Bounty Hunter.

Kyongrok Moon is the unlucky guy who came in 14th place.

Keita Minami eliminated Moon with his A♥ A♦ against Moon's K♠ 6♥.

The board coming T♣ 9♥ Q♠ 3♣ K♦ and Moon was sent into the night without a cash.

Phan Hung Cuong Doubles Through Deering

PostedJust nowby Life of Poker

In the Mystery Bounty Hunter flight B I caught the end of big pot played between Phan Hung Cuong and Samuel Lee Deering.

Deering held K♣ K♥ while Cuong held T♣ 8♣ on a board of 6♠ 9♠ T♦ 8♥ 5♦.

Cuong's turned 2 pair was good enough to win the 240k pot while Deering did not look impressed at his tablemate's actions during the hand.

"Why did you call pre?" exclaimed Deering. "Was it because it was suited?".

The pot is shipped in Cuong's direction and Deering is left to debate the hand while typing the hand into a poker odds calculator.

Zhang Busts the Mystery Bounty Hunter

PostedJust nowby Life of Poker

Kyle William Joseph Jones shoved his last 40,000 or so chips into the middle and Fang Zhang in seat 1 called off her last 30,000 to put herself at risk.

Jones needed help as he showed Q♥ 9♥ and was up against the A♦ J♦ of Zhang.

The board ran out Q♠ 2♠ T♥ 3♣ 2♣ to give Jones the pot and send Zhang, the last remaining female in flight B, to the rail.
