The fifth of the APT Summer Series Da Nang's scheduled High Roller tournaments – the VND 50,000,000 Event #28 Single Day High Roller - 40M Bounty - Winner Takes All - 8 Max – drew a 41-strong field comprised of 29 unique players.

The tournament offers competitors an interesting take on the bounty format, where the last player standing takes 100 percent of the prize pool.

With players receiving a bounty of VND 40,000,000 (~USD $1,690) for every scalp they take, the incentive is more focused on busting as many opponents as possible to claim the best cash reward, rather than winning the tournament outright.

With VND 149,650,000 in the prize pool for the eventual winner, and a further VND 1,640,000,000 in the bounty pool, there was a total of VND 1,789,650,000 (~USD $75,700) in prize money up for grabs.

It was none other than Australia's Joshua Mccully the man to seize victory after the twenty-one 25-minute levels concluded, defeating China's Duo Su heads-up to claim his second Series High Roller title in as many days.

Mccully has been crushing the APT High Roller events this Series, cashing four out of five and winning two of those outright.

This continues a trend, with the Aussie making an impressive fifteen assorted High Roller final tables in 2023, including nine APT High Roller final tables, and winning six of them.

Mccully is having the best year of his poker career to date, banking over USD $500,000 in live tournament winnings for 2023.
