Shen Takes First APT Korea

Lifeng Shen from China takes down the first APT Korea Main Event which was held at the Ramada Casino Jeju. In an exciting final table, Shen went heads up against poker legend Johnny Chan and after a final hand that saw Shen go all in with A K and called by Chan with pocket queens. The window card on the flop showed an ace, which held through the rest of the board, giving Shen the title for the inaugural APT Korea Main Event.

This is only Shen’s second major tournament ever played and he said it was one of the best experiences of his life, “To go heads up with Mr. Johnny Chan was a dream come true. He has been an idol of mine since taking up the game of poker. It was an honor to play with him and I learned so much.”

From here the Asian Poker Tour takes a break in September and resumes with the very popular APT Asian Series Manila to be staged at Resorts World Manila commencing October 9th 2013.
