We are back for Day 3 of the Asian Poker Tour Philippines 2016 Main Event at Resorts World Manila. Returning to the felt today are 32 players each looking to rake in the chips and claim a Final 8 berth. The players to catch up to are New Zealand’s Thomas Ward with a massive 904,000 chips, Malaysia’s Kah Boon Teh with 779,000 chips, and Filipino Terry Gonzaga with 708,000 chips.
With a total of 180 entries for the Main Event, the prize pool climbed to $523,800. Only 18 players will see a profit which means many will fall today without a return. The first place cash prize is a bulging wad of $133,900 while the other end of the spectrum is a healthy $9,700.

Side Events Results and On Deck Today
The WeLoveSport.com Deep Stack Turbo was running alongside the Main Event yesterday. There were 148 entries for this event creating a prize pool of $21,530. Coming in 3rd was Hong Kong’s Wai Tung Lo leaving Malaysia’s Jin Yang and UK’s Ben Martin to battle it out for the title. They decided to strike a deal and when the game resumed, Yang bested Martin and claimed the event trophy. Yang earned $4,760 for his victory.
At the Pot Limit Omaha Hi event, play was stopped at the final 8 and will resume at the RFID table today. There were 80 entries for this event and a prize pool of $31,040. The eventual winner will earn the $8,450 first place cash prize. Leading in chips is Korea’s Kim Tae Hwa with 234k chips, followed by Filipino Jose Drilon with 227k chips, and rounding out the top three is Finland’s Pasi Kakkonen with 217k chips. Kilian Loeffler, Luke Pangan, Samad Razavi, Lim Yah Loon, and Rolt Galasen will join the leaders at the table today.
There are two side events to look forward to today, the Monster Stack begins at 2pm. This has a $770 entry fee. At 6pm is the MSW Deep Stack Turbo with a $165 entry fee.
