Feng Zhao wins the Main Event ($126,500)

Feng Zhao has claimed the trophy by eliminating Inaki Santos at the heads up round of the Main Event. Zhao takes home the trophy and $126,500. Congratulations to Zhao!


Santos eliminated in 2nd ($72,600)

Level: 28 Blinds: 25000-50000 Ante: 5000

Inaki Santos was just stopped in his tracks by Feng Zhao to bow out in 2nd place here at the Main Event. Santos kicked off the hand by raising to 100K and was called by Zhao. At the flop of 8 6 5, Zhao checked to Santos who bet 125K only to get raised to 305K which he called. At the turn of 7, Zhao laid out 340K and after tanking Santos announced he was all in. Zhao quickly called and at the showdown it was Zhao ahead with the straight J 9 against Santos 10 8 top pair flush draw. With the river of 7, Zhao won the hand and claimed first prize.


Overcards Don’t Scare Santos

Feng Zhao limped into the pot and Santos wanted more and added 110,000 extra to the middle. Zhao wanted to see the flop and called.

And on the river Q, Santos check and tank-called Zhao’s bet of 190,000.

It was the right call as Zhao bet with air and Santos pockets sevens was good.

Zhao climbs back to around 1.7M and Zhao dropped to 2.4M.


Super Straight for Zhao

Limped pot brought the flop 7 J 9 and was checked by both players. Santos check-called a Zhao bet of 50,000 on the turn 7 and did the same on the a 60,000 bet on the river 8.

Bad call for Santos as Zhao tabled 10 6. Zhao climbed to around 2.7M while Santos dropped to 1.4M after the hand.


Zhao on a roll…

Feng Zhao is on a roll claiming more pots off Inaki Santos. From the button, Santos raised to 100K and got a call from Zhao. At the flop of 5 8 9 both players checked, but then at the turn of 7, Zhao led out for 65K and Santos let his cards go.

Two hands later, Santos raised to 100K again from the button to which Zhao answered with a bump up to 260K. Santos folded.


Low Pockets Good for Zhao

On limped pot both were in it on a flop of J 2 7 to which Zhao bet 50,000 on. Santos made the call to bring the turn Q, which was checked by both players. River 2 was checked as well for a showdown.

Zhao gets some and cuts down the lead of Santos.


Zhao Gets Some More

Zhao opened to 100,000 and was called by Santos.

Flop: 7 10 8

Santos led out with 110,000 but Zhao wanted more and made it 295,000. Santos called.

Both checked the turn Q and river 7 and Zhao won the pot with 10 9. Zhao has chipped up in the last few.


Zhao claims a few pots

Kicking off level 28, Feng Zhao is slowly chipping up by winning three consecutive hands. In the first match up, Inaki Santos raised to 100K from the button and Zhao called. At the flop of 6 7 5, both players checked. At the turn of 4, Zhao led out for 105K and Santos folded.

Now from the button seat, Zhao limped in and Santos checked. Flop landed 5 6 2, Santos led out for 55K and Zhao called. At the turn and river of 7 and 10, both players checked and Zhao won the hand with his 3 5 over Santos’ A 4.

At the very next hand, Santos raised to 100K preflop and Zhao called. At the flop of 7 8 3, Zhao checked  then called Santos’ 130K bet. At the turn of 2, both checked to see a free river card of 9. Zhao then fired out 245K which Santos did not match.
